What is ConfiLearn?
ConfiLearn is a Kenya learning marketplace. You can take courses, book holiday tuition, or teach. Parents pay with Paystack. Tutors set their own prices.
What is the 15% commission?
On a tutor-priced sale the tutor keeps 85% of the gross. ConfiLearn keeps 15%. That 15% pays the Paystack fee and, when there is a referrer, the affiliate commission. The tutor's 85% is not reduced by either of those.
What if the Paystack fee is large?
The platform aims to keep at least 5% of the gross after the fee and the affiliate cut. If those two would go under that floor, the affiliate cut is reduced. If the fee alone is still under the floor, that sale pays no affiliate commission. The tutor still receives 85%.
Do I have to accept the terms?
Yes. Learners and tutors tick consent at signup. A Google signup that has not accepted the current version is asked on the next login. We store the version and the time.
Can a child have an account?
Yes, with a parent or guardian's consent, as described in the Privacy Policy under the Data Protection Act, 2019.
How do I choose a tutor?
Open Find a tutor. Filter by KYC, subject, level (primary, secondary, college), language, price, and availability, and sort by rank, likes, or reviews. You pick the specific teacher.
